Act of Kindness #31

I found this blog Oh Baby, Baby through my friend Aimee's blog. The blog is written by Holly and it is basically about her and her husband's journey of their fight against infertility. I started following their story a couple of months ago about the time that they had the gender reveal for their twins and I was so excited for them that after years of trying, they were finally on the road to meeting their babies. Not too long after the gender reveal, they lost their baby girl Brinly but still had hope that their boy Jude would be ok. A couple of weeks later they were forced to deliver Jude because of an infection that Holly had and they lost Jude as well. Every time I think of their story, my heart just breaks for them. No mother should ever have to endure what they have over the last couple of years.

Jeff and I are in the process of figuring out our options to have a baby. He had a vasectomy after his 2nd daughter, Jenna, was born. We went for a reversal a couple of years ago, but found out a few months afterwards that it did not take. I was surprisingly ok with finding that news out. Obviously disappointed, but ok with knowing why we weren't getting pregnant and then figuring out that we needed to figure out a Plan B.

I could never imagine being in Holly, Darren and their families positions right now. We know why we can't get pregnant and we know how to deal with that. But, how do you deal with being forced to give up your babies in the manner that they have? How do you not question and scream at God and wonder why this has happened to you? Holly is an amazingly strong woman who sounds like she has an awesome, supportive husband & family. She truly pours her heart out in her blog, the good, the bad, the ugly and she has every right to go through every motion and emotion that she is. Although she may not be able to hold her babies in her arms, she will always hold them in her heart and she will ALWAYS be an amazing MOTHER!

Another blog that I follow linked up with Holly's page. They were asking for help that anyone could give to help cover the medical costs, funeral arrangements, etc. that Holly and her family were having to face. Jeff and I gladly donated to them in the hopes of bringing them just a little bit of comfort and peace.
