Act #30 - I usually cook at home...lately I've been slacking, but Jeff and I don't usually go out all that often. Between work, holiday shopping, wrapping gifts and cleaning at home, I just don't have the desire to cook and then have to clean again. So, we've been going out to eat more than normal. We went to O'Charley's last week because I was craving their potato soup and rolls (they are the best!). Our waitress looked like a younger girl and she just seemed so hyper and happy. I almost wanted to tell her to lay off the crack and Red Bull haha. Well, she told us that she just received an email to let her know that she had been chosen to audition for the Vampire Diaries and she was so excited about it. She was a great waitress, so we left her double what her tip should have been (I usually do 20%) and wrote "Good Luck with your audition" on the ticket.
A couple of nights later we went to Olive Garden because I was craving some sort of filling, unhealthy, hearty pasta and fettuccine alfredo sounded awesome...yes, everything is usually about me and my cravings when it comes to us going out to eat haha. It usually never seems to fail that Jeff and I get sat next to that table with the screaming child. This child wasn't screaming because he was mad, I think just screaming to be heard...and Lord did everyone hear him! I normally try to ignore it, they are kids and sometimes it can't be helped, but this child was old enough to know better. He was also old enough to know that he shouldn't be slinging food, papers, straws, napkins and his utensils across the restaurant. And the parents? Totally ignored him, acted like nothing was going on and then had the audacity to leave with all that crap strewn across the floor...not just under their table, it was literally under and around the 3-4 other tables around them, including ours! I could not see me having kids and just leaving a mess like that for someone else to clean up! So, since our waitress was so good here as well and also had to deal with that crap, we doubled her tip too.
Last night we went to Williamson Bros BBQ. I don't like BBQ that much, but figured I would sacrifice for Jeff for once and he seemed quite happy about it! Our waitress was a girl who looked like she was early 20's and she waddled up to us with her
