Act of Kindness #8 - Caffeine Treatment

Well I gave myself a year to complete 59 acts of kindness. Now that we are into August I have officially went into freak out mode because I realized I only have like 10-12 completed...I have a lot to do in the next 7 months!!  I have a couple more that I have done, I just haven't got around to updating this blog with them yet...

Act of Kindness #8 is underway and was just picked up by UPS, on it's way to Crystal Run Healthcare in NY. Crystal Run is where my grandfather had his chemo treatments done at. While I stayed with Grandma during my sabbatical, she mentioned quite a few times on how well they were treated there and that the staff was great. She was making lap quilts for the patients up there so they wouldn't be cold while receiving their chemo. She also took sugar packets, coffee, etc. to them because they provided it the patients and didn't want them to run low. My grandfather loved his coffee now, the day didn't start without it...so I am sure he drank his fair share from there!!

So this is the care package that I mailed out to them today. And yes, we use the same stuff at work but no, I did not steal from the office stash!!! This was bought separately, I promise haha. I included a little note on who I was, that grandpa had been a patient there and that they were a recipient of one of my acts. I told them that I hoped other "Grandpa's" that came in there would enjoy it as well :)
