Publix has a way of making me tear up with every single holiday commercial they come out with. It doesn't matter if it is Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Damn you Publix for bringing out my girlie, emotional side! Of course they had to come out with this commercial...
The part that gets me every time I watch it? The last like 2 seconds..."I love you Grandpa"...ugh, bring on the waterworks and the tissues!
This next video was shared by a friend of mine on Facebook and I am glad I took the few minutes to watch it. I wish everyone would be like the women that spoke up in this video. I doesn't matter if it has to do with a race issue or not. How many videos have we watched where someone was hurt, being assaulted, or laying on the ground dying and there are dozens of people that just walk by them without doing anything? It reminds me of a time that Jeff and I went out somewhere and when we came outside, there was a man yelling at what we assumed was his girlfriend or wife. Jeff stopped dead in his tracks because he thought the man was going to get physical with her. He was fully prepared to intervene and kick some ass if need be. Thankfully it didn't come down to that, but I was proud of the fact that he didn't just turn a blind eye to the situation. How many of us would have stepped in? How many of us would speak up? What would you do? This video definitely makes you think...
