Act of Kindness #9

This one hit a little closer to home for Jeff and I. Jeff received a call from his brother, Chad, on August 1st saying that his house had burnt to the ground. Apparently he came home to change clothes and go to work and the fire trucks were already there putting it out...he lost everything. Chad told Jeff he was standing at the front of the house and was looking at the backyard. I could not imagine coming home to find that!

He told us the fire department said it looks like the fire was electrical and started at an outlet by Chad's bed, right on the side he would have been sleeping at. We are very thankful that he is okay...material things can be replaced, lives cannot!

There is not much we could do right now to help him out until he gets another place, but we did gather some clothing items to send to him that we knew he could use now. One of my bosses is the same size and gave a few polos and a pair of jeans, I bought a couple pair of shorts and then raided Jeff's closets since they are also the same size haha. Unfortunately they are not the same shoe size, so clothing only it was!
